Meet LaMonika Hill
Author | Activist | Educator

Welcome to The Helping Heal, LLC, founded by LaMonika Hill, a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, education, and support. LaMonika's own experiences with mental health challenges have inspired her mission to educate, equip, and empower individuals to take charge of their mental health, as well as provide accessible resources to those seeking help. LaMonika's personal struggles allowed her to develop an innate understanding of the challenges that those living with mental illness face. However, it was her strength and perseverance in overcoming her own mental health challenges that ignited her passion for mental health advocacy. Although she is not a licensed counselor, LaMonika's candid and authentic approach to sharing her experiences and struggles has resonated with many individuals who have been touched by mental illness.

LaMonika's mission is to educate, equip, and empower individuals through advocacy. She accomplishes this through speaking engagements and events, talks and discussions, and her written works which includes the book "Liv & Gabby: Brighter Days Ahead."

LaMonika's advocacy work is centered on increasing awareness to end the stigma surrounding mental illness. She emphasizes that seeking help for mental illness is a sign of strength, not weakness. Her experience and understanding of mental illness has had a profound effect on others, allowing them to see that they are not alone in their struggles.

This is a very well written book about a subject many of us know all too well. It informs children in a developmentally appropriate manner about the
struggles of depression. Brighter Days Ahead illustrates
that although times may be tough- families can thrive with support and love. This book is the first of its kind I've seen, yet it is so necessary.
